Bid Manager – Poole


Location:Poole, Dorset


Reporting to the Bid Director, this is a great opportunity for a Bid Manager to hold a key role within a small, dynamic and fun work winning team.

Working closely with the Senior Bid Managers, Estimators and Business Development Managers you will be responsible for managing individual bids to maximise our chances of success, ultimately securing contract wins. You will review the Employer’s Requirements, develop and implement the bid strategy, and collaboratively develop our value engineered solutions and unique selling messages. You will produce your Contractor’s Proposals Documents to the highest standard, and promote and sell our offer directly to the Employer and their professional team.


You will possess developed bid management skills, with a proven ability to manage, produce, submit and negotiate winning bids.  You must be able to effectively multi task, and have excellent written and spoken communication and presentational skills.

Ideally you will have a steelwork background although experience of construction industry related work will be considered, with full knowledge of how a specialist sub-contractor works.

You will have the ability to read and understand drawings, have an analytical and detailed mind-set and be capable of handling deadline pressures.

You will be educated to degree standard, preferably in an engineering or construction discipline.

You will have a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work, with a desire to succeed at every opportunity.
