Role
Reporting to the Pre-Construction Director this role provides an excellent opportunity to join the long established Bourne Group Ltd with a proven (in excess of 75 years) track record in providing excellent solutions to the construction industry. As an Estimator for Bourne Parking you will hold a key role within a small, dynamic and fun work winning team.
Working closely with the Head of Bid Management, Bid Managers and the fellow Estimators, you will be responsible for pricing individual bids to maximise our chances of success, ultimately securing contract wins. You will review the Employer’s Requirements and seek the best and most innovative materials and solutions to gain the greatest commercial advantage. You will liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, issue enquiries, and obtain and analyse quotes to produce the best value price and provider for each package.
Applicant
You will possess developed estimating skills, with a proven ability to prepare and price fully detailed bills of quantities from base principles. You must be able to effectively multitask, and have excellent analytical, written and spoken communication skills. You will have knowledge of the construction industry, and ideally experiences of working for design and build contractors and specialists.
You will be educated to degree standard, preferably in an engineering or construction discipline.
You will have a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work and life, with a desire to succeed at every opportunity.
