The Brent Civic Centre in Engineers Way, London, is an apt location for the UK’s greenest public office building in the UK, obtaining BREEAM Outstanding, it is also the fourth greenest building worldwide.
And according to Steel Construction Info it also boasts some of the most exquisite steelwork detailing in the country.
The project has several different steelwork elements, including a 31m high atrium roof supported by 30m long bespoke members. Other elements include an exposed, braced steel structure to provide a column free environment for the three storey 1,000 seater space civic drum.
The finishes to the steelwork were all carried out to a high quality due to their exposed nature and are visible for all to see.
