Exeter Energy from Waste (EfW) facility has been constructed for Devon Country Council and has the capacity to generate 3mw of renewable energy for the National Grid.

Exeter is Bourne’s third EfW project and the first awarded by Viridor. The main works included delivering the super structure steelwork, crane steelwork which was fabricated to Execution class 3 (this is for fatigue and has higher levels of workmanship and quality control), the boiler support steelwork and stair structures. Bourne also carried out the envelope, structure of the roof cladding, wall cladding, doors, glazing and louvres.
