Bourne Parking were appointed by Bowmer & Kirkland to provide a new multi-storey car park at Camels Head, Plymouth.

The new car park facility will provide parking provision to staff working on the development of HMNB Devonport for the MOD.

The multi-storey car park will provide 600 parking spaces on ground floor and four suspended parking decks. The car park design is based upon a ramped deck parking layout with a large central two-way ramp. The flexibility of the Montex system has enabled the frame to be cut back on the north elevation due to the proximity of an existing culvert.

Bourne Parking are responsible for the turnkey above ground scope which includes: a Montex structural frame, vehicle crash barriers and edge restraint system, headlight screening, a jump-deterrent mesh system, above ground drainage, asphalt waterproofing, line marking, signage, precast concrete stair core, balustrade and wall rail, fire doors, secondary steel stair tower, MEP and a passenger lift.
