Bourne Parking were appointed by Murphy to provide a new multi-storey car park as part of a major wholesale distribution warehouse refurbishment and upgrade project in Hemel Hempstead.

The new car park facility will provide parking provision to staff working within the recently re-let
warehouse for Brakes; the UK’s leading wholesales food supplier; which is a Sysco company.

The multi-storey car park will provide 461 parking spaces on ground floor and a three suspended flat parking decks. The parking decks are served by independent up and down ramps for ease of user circulation.

Bourne Parking were awarded this project through a combination of providing an improved parking layout within the confines of the (irregularly shaped) planning approved envelope for the building, a column-free frame configuration utilising its Montex modular car park technology (the as drawn scheme included numerous columns between parking bays), and value engineered elevations (whilst matching the aesthetic of the aforesaid planning approved scheme). These elevations consisted of a combination of bespoke mill finish aluminium profiled and perforated curved cladding, box section vertical fins and flat profile cladding.
