Bourne Parking has a long standing and successful partnership with Prudential. This relationship was founded upon the work undertaken with Prudential at their Green Park commercial development in Reading.
During a two-year period at the beginning of the millennium, we designed and constructed 11 single suspended deck and multi storey car parks on the site providing in excess of 3,100 car parking spaces. All of these projects were undertaken on a negotiated open book basis. Key performance indicators were utilised to ensure that progressive cost savings were made on each subsequent project.
An example of one of the decked car park projects at Green Park was 100 Longwater Avenue. This building, which was a single deck, flat plate car park with an external ramp, was value engineered by Bourne Parking to provide optimum cost per space. The key features were the high specification white precast concrete spiral staircases and a central light well planted with trees.
This decked car park was designed and constructed for a total cost of just under £3,500 per car parking space.
