The project was to design and build a six deck car park within the confines of the existing campus at Sky, Isleworth. The structure is supported on piled foundations, which along with the new drainage system had to be carefully located to miss the plethora of in-ground services, including some major Sky TV fibre optic systems.
Access to the lower level is via a new entrance road with the upper decks accessed via internal ramps. The raised decks are constructed of pre-cast concrete floor units laid onto a steel frame. Pedestrian access to upper decks is via precast concrete stairs and passenger lifts.
This car park utilises a wide array of innovative and modern technology as part of it’s control systems including Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and intelligent lighting, both of which are used to track and guide cars entering the car park. 80 “Fast” Car Chargers have also been installed with capacity to install a further 80 as demand increases.
