Bourne Parking were instructed to design, supply and erect the structural steelwork for this 4/5 level split deck car park structure comprising of a galvanized steel frame complete with 400mm deep hollow core floor units.

The frame was designed so that the minimum quantity of steel was required. To do this we used 16 metre long pre-cast planks that also acted as structural ties; this omitted the need for additional steel members that become redundant upon completion.

Furthermore, the Bourne Barrier system was used. This system consists of rods complete with mesh panelling to act as both vehicle barriers and pedestrian edge protection, which removes the need for two separate systems.

This contemporary multi-storey car park provides over 375 additional car parking spaces alongside a new road layout and new station forecourt.
