Bourne Parking were appointed by SDC under a Pre Construction Services Agreement to develop the design of a new multi-storey car park at Cambridge Science Park. Following completion of the PCSA deliverables, Bourne Parking were then appointed by SDC to complete the detailed design and subsequent construction of the parking facility.

Bourne Parking were responsible for the design and build of the steel frame, precast concrete floors, vehicle crash barriers, top deck waterproofing, above ground drainage, white lining, passenger lift, precast concrete stair cores and associated finishes.

The parking layout was developed on a split-level parking configuration which provided a simple, user friendly, clockwise circulation route with one-way traffic flow. Parking was located on the ground floor and seven suspended split-level decks. The lower ground level was used for cycle storage facilities.
